TODDLER STORY TIMES
each Tuesday @ 11:15 am
for ages 1 to 3 with an adult

PRESCHOOL STORY TIMES
each Thursday @ 11:15 am
for ages 3 1/2 to 6
beginning Sept. 9th
Join us for stories, songs, rhymes & puppet friends!
AFTER SCHOOL
STORY SURPRISE
every Wednesday from 2:45 to 3:30 pm
during the school year for grades K-5
beginning Sept. 8th
Bring your friends for stories, games, crafts, and a snack!

 

 

Crafty Saturday
Sept. 18th from 10:30 to 1:30 pm

Drop in to make your choice of fun projects!

 

 

Stuffed Animal Sleepover Party
Wed., Sept. 22nd @ 6 pm
Bring one of your stuffed animal buddies for stories & a snack. Then tuck them in for the night. Come back the next day to pick them up... and find out what they were doing all night!

  Kids Wisdom:
You can’t hide mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables in your pocket.



 

 

There are computers for kids to use, with games designed for all ages.

You Must bring your library card to use computers.

 

You cannot use computers if you owe more than $1.00 in fines.

See the Children's Room staff to sign up.

 

 

Class visits and special collections for classroom use are available.

 

We are pleased to offer books that have received the Caldecott Award.  This medal is awarded annually to the illustrator of the most distinguished American picture book for children.  The award is named in honor of nineteenth century illustrator Randolph Caldecott. 
To find one of these books, look for the RED sticker on the spine.

 

 

We also offer books that have received the Newbery Award.  This award is given to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.  To find one of these books, look for the BLUE sticker on the spine. 

Picture books, early readers, fiction and non-fiction, reference materials and magazines are in the Ruth Jane Roberts Room

A Parent-Teacher Collection is available in the Children's area of  the Library to assist you in finding useful materials easily.  There Adult non-fiction section of the library has more materials about the same subjects found in the Parent-Teacher Collection.  

Let the staff know if you don't find a particular subject of interest!
