Maybe not. But if that sounds interesting to you, come listen to Brandon Weis speak at the North Baltimore Public Library about his Calendar Year Triple Crown hike in 2021 on the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, Continental Divide Trail, and Arizona Trail. His presentation will be on Wednesday, April 9th, at 6:30 pm in the Wolfe Community Room. When he set out on his journey to hike the Triple Crown in a year, only 10 people had ever done it, but that didn’t deter him. Come and hear his story of determination, grit, and perseverance through America’s most beautiful and rugged landscapes!” Brandon also details his experiences in his first book, This is Gonna Hurt! Grow to Go - Cooking Demo Join the Wood County Health Department for a “Grow to Go” cooking demonstration on Thursday, March 20th. This will take place in the Wolfe Community Room at the North Baltimore Public Library starting at 6:30 pm. Whether you are a participant of the Grow to Go program or not you are invited to learn how to make nutritious recipes using fresh herbs. Attendees will get to enjoy samples of these healthy dishes as well. Book Chatters In March, Book Chatters will be meeting on Tuesday, March 25th at 6:30 pm at the North Baltimore Ohio Area Historical Society. They will be discussing Drowning Ruth by Christina Schwarz, which was an Oprah Book Club book. This story follows the family of a girl, who almost drowned in a frozen lake, and the mother who died in the same incident. The event changes the family and eventually reveals dark family secrets. This book and other book club selections for the year are on display in the front area of the library. View and Chew This month our View & Chew movie will be Omni Loop, starring Mary Louise Parker. A quantum physicist finds herself stuck in a time loop with a black hole growing in her chest and only a week to live. When she meets a gifted student they team up to save her life and unlock the mysteries of time travel. The movie will be shown on Wednesday, March 19th with a start time of 6 pm at The Virginia Theater (119 N. Main St.). The theater doors will open at 5:30 pm. Concessions will be available for purchase. We look forward to seeing you there. The Whistle Stop News
