Adults may check out to win one of 3 Grand Prizes - each including a $50 gift card! We will host a pottery event for adults in June and a “certified Bob Ross instructor” led painting event in July! Lots of colorful contests and interactive displays around the library and online, too! Weekly Intergenerational programs, Preschool Story Times, School Age Activities, and Just4Teen events from June 9July18. Pick up Summer Reading flyers before we begin for all the colorful details and paint our community brightly this year! Mobile Health Center The Wood County Mobile Health Center will be returning to the NB Library on May 13th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Services include health screenings, such as blood pressure and blood sugar, at-home COVID tests, hygiene supplies, health education, and resources. No insurance, ID, or payment is needed. Walk-ins are welcome or schedule a time by calling 419-352-8402. Also the local Lions’ Club will be offering FREE eye checkups inside the library during the same time. Book Chatters Book Chatters will be meeting this month on Tuesday, May 27th at 6:30 pm in the Wolfe Community Room. They will be discussing the title Call Your Daughter Home by Deb Spera. “this extraordinary historical debut novel follows three fierce Southern women in an unforgeƩable story of motherhood and womanhood.” All are welcome to join us. View and Chew This month our View & Chew movie will be My Dead Friend Zoe starring Sonequa Martin-Green, Natalie Morales, Ed Harris & Morgan Freeman. Engaged in a mysterious relaƟonship with her dead best friend from the Army, a female Afghanistan veteran comes head to head with her Vietnam vet grandfather at the family's ancestral lake house. The movie will be shown on Thursday, May 15th with a start time of 6 pm at The Virginia Theater (119 N. Main St.). The theater doors will open at 5:30 pm. Concessions will be available for purchase.
