Your generosity helped us to raise $621.50, all of which will go toward helping the library with things such as library programing and supplies. We would also like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out in any way!! Without you we could not do this event. We look forward to seeing all of you at our next Friends’ McDonald’s Night on Thursday, November 6th from 5 - 8 pm. Brandon Weis Returns to NBPL Discover the wild beauty of America’s backcountry as Brandon Weis shares his incredible journey of a 5,000-mile hiking expedition across some of the country's most remote trails. From the otherworldly Hayduke Trail to the desolate expanses of the Oregon Desert Trail, and the hidden gems of the Bigfoot Trail, Pinhoti Trail, Pacific Northwest Trail, Colorado Trail, and the Benton Mackaye Trail, this presentation promises to take you off the beaten path. Experience the thrill of extreme hiking and the serenity of nature’s untouched landscapes. Brandon will recount the challenges faced, the breathtaking views, and the transformative power of solitude in the wilderness. And if you think the Appalachian Trail is tough, wait until you hear how these trails make it look like a walk in the park— literally! Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the backcountry from the comfort of your local library!
