The Ohio Art Education Association Award

The Ohio Art Education Association recently recognized The North Baltimore Public Library as a Distinguished Business/Organization for Art Education. Rick Van Mooy, Library Board President, was on hand to accept the award.

This recognition is a way for the OAEA to show its appreciation for the generous contributions from our community that support their work with Ohio’s art students.  They celebrate these honorees at an annual awards banquet and program at their state professional development conference. The library was nominated for its after-school art class that is co-sponsored by Happer Camper Art Studio and the North Baltimore Public Schools. The class is taught by Erika Miklovic, of Happy Camper Art Studio and an art educator with NBLS, and is offered every other week during the school year for all interested students in grades 2-8. These classes have been offered after school at the library for the last two years.
