Book Chatters
The January Book Chatters was postponed to Tuesday, February 3rd, at 6:30 pm in the Wolfe Community Room due to inclement weather. We will be discussing The Secret Life of Sunflowers by Marta Molnar.
The regular February meeting will be Tuesday, February 24th, at 6:30 pm in the Wolfe Community Room, and we will be discussing The Only Woman in the Room by Marie Benedict.

View and Chew
This month, for our FREE movie series, we will be showing “The Housemaid” based on the Freida McFadden book. This movie stars Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried.
“A struggling young woman is relieved by the chance for a fresh start as a maid for a wealthy couple. Soon, she discovers that the family's secrets are far more dangerous than her own.”
The movie will be shown on Thursday, February 19th, with a start time of 6 pm at The Virginia Theater (119 N. Main St.) The theater doors will open at 5:30 pm. Concessions will be available for purchase. We look forward to seeing you there.
Friends Meeting Rescheduled
Due to the snowy weather on Monday, January 26th, 2026, the Friends of the Library annual meeting was cancelled. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 10th, at 6 pm. All members are welcome to join us as we plan for 2026. Also, feel free to renew or start a membership today. We would love to have you!!
Mobile Health Bus Returns
The Wood County Health Department Mobile Health Bus returns on Tuesday, February 24th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Services include health screenings, such as blood pressure and blood sugar, at-home COVID tests, hygiene supplies, health education, and resources. No insurance, ID, or payment is needed. Walk-ins are welcome, or schedule a time by calling 419-352-8402.
Winter Reading Continues
Winter Reading continues through the end of February! It's a "Year of Celebration" as we commemorate North Baltimore's 150th anniversary of its founding on February 7, 1876, and America's 250th anniversary on the 4th of July! Adults (age 18 and over) may sign up at the main desk of the Library or email cheryl@nbpubliclibrary.org with your first & last name, phone, and/or email. The first 50 to register at the desk will receive a button and a hot chocolate packet, plus an entry for one of 3 prize sets. Each day you check out at the main desk or borrow from Hoopla or Libby, then email cheryl@nbpubliclibrary.org with the subject – “Winter Check Out”, you will be entered in the adult prize drawing. All entries recorded by Jan 30 will be placed in the first drawing for a flag bag and America 250 garden flag set as seen in the entry display. Another drawing will be held from all accumulated entries recorded by February 13 for the same prize set. All accumulated entries plus all "America 250 Challenges" returned by February 27 will be entered into a prize drawing for the bag, flag, and a $25 gift card to Sheetz! "America 250 Challenges" are available at the main desk when you register. Thanks to the North Baltimore Ohio Area Historical Society for sharing photos and display items. Thanks also to the Friends of the NB Library for sponsoring Winter Reading prizes and our author visit with Brandy Gleason. Look for our new YouTube video series “NORTH BALTIMORE 150: Pictures from the Past” to be launched early in February! Links will be shared on our website/Facebook and may be viewed in the Library.
