View and Chew

“Remarkably Bright Creatures” will be our View & Chew FREE movie for the month of May. This movie stars Sally Field and Lewis Pullman and is based on the book of the same name by Shelby Van Pelt.

Through unlikely bonds formed during night shifts at a local aquarium, Tova, an elderly widow, learns of a life-changing discovery that may bring her joy and wonder once again.

The movie will be shown on Thursday, May 21st, with a start time of 6 pm at The

Virginia Theater (119 N. Main St.), the theater doors will open at 5:30 pm. Concessions will be available for purchase. We look forward to seeing you there.

Book Chatters

Book Chatters will not be meeting in May. Due to the amazing popularity of the chosen book, The Correspondent by Virginia Evans, we simply are not able to get enough books for everyone to read this month. Instead, we will plan on discussing it at the Tuesday, Aug. 25 meeting. Hope to see everyone next month!

Stop by the Book Chatter’s display to see a selection of book choices for the year and pick up a copy of the list, or visit the website to view/print your own list.

Victory Garden

Join the Wood County Museum, North Baltimore Public Library, and the North Baltimore Community Garden Project for a program about Victory Gardens!

While young men were fighting overseas during World War II, women, children, and those unable to serve were encouraged to do their part at home. Learn about the history of victory gardens, canning, and point rationing during this monumental time in our nation’s history.

This program will take place on Thursday, May 28th at 6:30 pm in the Wolf Community Room. It is FREE & open to the public!

Ohio Goes To The Movie
