The Library will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

Have a safe and fun weekend!

Music Bingo!!

On Sept. 15th, we are hosting “Music Bingo presented by DJ Steph”. A musical spin on the game Bingo – easy and free to play. Prizes for winners and fun for all ages. Bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs to spread out and play. We will welcome food trucks on Main St. and offer cold water. In the event of rain, we will move into the Wolfe Community Room. Thanks to Gleaner’s Arbor 461 for providing the bingo host and prizes! Also, thanks to Ned Casey’s family, who donated the glider inside the new gazebo and the all-weather picnic table in his memory. We look forward to using our revamped lawn space for many future events! Visit it the next time you are strolling by!

The North Baltimore Public Library is now a convenient place to register to vote in the State of Ohio! If you are eligible to vote and need to register or update your voter registration, stop by the library and we can help you get started. It’s another way your library is working to make important community resources more accessible to everyone.

Book Chatters Open House

Tuesday, September 29

Informal Browsing/Chats from 5:30-6:30 pm

Meeting at 6:30 pm

The NB Library’s book club is celebrating 25 years since our first meeting in September of 2001. To commemorate, we would like to invite the public to drop in to “sample” what we have read through the years and our “book club formula”. Browse the titles, pick up a reading list of a variety of genres, get a few informal recommendations, and sign up to win a book prize set. Curious about how to start a book club or interested in joining one? This is your chance to see how ours functions and view an actual meeting. Unable to attend? Leave your name and contact information at the main desk or email cheryl@nbpubliclibrary.org. Cheryl will send you basic information and enter you in the drawing. The actual drawing will take place at the end of the evening, but you need not be present to win. At 6:30 pm, we will hold our regular meeting to discuss "The 7 ½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle” by Stuart Turton.

Pop your favorite Agatha Christie whodunnit into a blender with a scoop of Downton Abbey, a dash of Quantum Leap, and a liberal sprinkling of Groundhog Day, and you'll get this unique murder mystery.”

This FREE movie was chosen for its connection to the Cleveland Indians and

follows a team that discovers its new owner is deliberately trying to make them lose so she can move the team to another city.

The showing is a collaboration between the Virginia Theater, North Baltimore Ohio Area Historical Society, and North Baltimore Public Library.

Join us at the Virginia Theater, 119 N. Main St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the movie begins at 6:00 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase.
